Saved When I Was 13? (Part 5)

The Broad Road Is Paved With Comfort

“Wide is the gate and easy is the way that leads to destruction.” Matthew 7:13

The broad road is not rebellion. It is religion without repentance. Assurance without transformation. Comfort without Christ. It is filled with people who never had to change much.

The narrow gate is narrow because it strips you. No self-righteousness. No cherished sin. No control. Only surrender. Two houses. Same exposure. Same Bible. Same sermons. One obedience. One collapse.

Judgment does not create reality; it reveals it.

The flesh wants reassurance. Scripture demands repentance.

The most loving thing God can do is remove false comfort before eternity does it permanently.

So the final question is unavoidable:

If all your comforts were taken away, would Christ still be enough, or was comfort the real savior all along?
