God the Father: Knowing the First Person of the Trinity
Salvation Leads to Fellowship
1 John 1:3:
“Indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.”
The goal of redemption is not just escape from judgment—it’s eternal communion with the Father. He saves not just to rescue, but to relate.
Salvation brings us into an eternal relationship—a fellowship that began in time and will never end.
Eternal Life Is Knowing the Father
Jesus defines eternal life this way:
“This is eternal life, that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” (John 17:3)
Heaven is not primarily a place—it is a person. The greatest joy of eternity will be God Himself—not merely His gifts, but His presence.
The Father gives Himself to His children—and that is eternal life.
Adoption Is Forever
Romans 8:15–17 assures us that we are sons and daughters—not temporarily, but eternally.
“If children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ…”
Once adopted, always adopted. The Father does not un-adopt His children. He keeps them, sanctifies them, glorifies them—and welcomes them into unbroken fellowship forever.
The Promise of Dwelling with the Father
Revelation 21:3:
“Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be His people…”
This is not poetic—it’s prophetic. It’s the Father’s plan. The veil of separation will be torn away forever. There will be no more death, sorrow, or sin to hinder our communion.
We will be home—with our Father.
Jesus Prepares the Way
John 14:2–3:
“In My Father’s house are many rooms… I go to prepare a place for you…”
Jesus speaks of the Father’s house—not just heaven, but family fellowship. The place He prepares is not only beautiful—it is relational. It is designed to bring us close to the Father.
And He will bring us there.
The Spirit Is the Foretaste of Fellowship
Even now, we do not wait in total distance. The Spirit brings the presence of the Father to us.
Galatians 4:6:
“Because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, ‘Abba! Father!’”
This cry is a foretaste of forever—a down payment of eternal intimacy.
What Eternal Fellowship Means for You Now
1. You Are Not Alone
Your fellowship with the Father has already begun. He walks with you today—and will never leave you.
2. You Are Being Prepared
Every act of sanctification is preparing you for eternal communion. Holiness now prepares you to enjoy His holiness forever.
3. You Will See His Face
Revelation 22:4:
“They will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.”
No more sin. No more shame. Only glory, love, and endless fellowship.
The Father Desires to Dwell with His People
From Eden to Sinai, from the tabernacle to the temple, and now in the church—the story of the Bible is the story of God dwelling with man.
And it will end in consummation, not separation.
He will dwell with us—and we with Him. Forever.
Conclusion: Home with the Father
The Gospel is not only good news for this life—it is the promise of eternal fellowship.
No more distance. No more hiding. No more curse.
Only the Father and His children—together, in joy, forever.
So press on. Fight sin. Embrace grace.
Because your Father is waiting. And His arms are open.
“In Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” (Psalm 16:11)
